DABYLONIAN LORE
Dabylon began in May of 2020 by two friends looking to find some relief from a chaotic year. Dabylon was initially a guitarist/dj and a percussionist performing live looped Ableton sets and was primarily influenced by Colorado jamtronica acts. Over the years the project changed, from a DJ set to a 7 piece band, but at it’s core is the psychedelic stylings of its founding member Dylan Sheji, and a rotating cast of musicians join him live.
The core message of the band has always been “making the best out of the bad,” and taking trying life events and turning them into musical catharsis. Some songs are about everyday existential dread, some are about loves lost, some try to capture the small moments of joy that makes life so beautiful. All those thoughts and emotion come together into songs that you can dance and feel alive to. We’ve changed a lot since 2020, but we still and always will bring some joy to whoever sees us. So come to a show and get weird with us. You won’t regret it!
